Fewer, bigger partnerships

Ethique supported over 700+ organisations from 2012-2021, from small one-off sponsorships, to larger, ongoing partnerships.

The Ethique Foundation is narrowing our focus, working with only a small number of partners and getting in deep with them.

Here are some of them and what they do.

Eden Reforestation Projects

Eden Reforestation Projects work with local communities to restore forests on a massive scale, thereby creating jobs, protecting ecosystems and helping mitigate climate change. They have already planted almost 800 million trees in countries around the world including Madagascar, Mozambique, Kenya, Indonesia and Haiti. Whilst there are many reforestation organisations out there, ERP stands out to us due to their work with local communities, ensuring that not only are habitats rewilded with native species, but they also create long term job and economic empowerment.

Mission Blue

Mission Blue, founded by pioneering ocean science legend and explorer Dr Sylvia Earle is on a mission to “ignite public support for a network of Hope Spots; marine protected areas that are large enough to restore the health of the ocean.”

Since its founding in 2010, Mission Blue has built a global network of more than 140 Hope Spots in 69 countries covering approximately 57,580,000 square km of the ocean. They invested early on in expeditions and infrastructure to nominate, designate and support Hope Spots. In addition, they have deployed digital and social media tools to amplify Dr. Earle’s vision as well as inspire greater action to support the ocean.
