SECTION 1 – what information dowe collect from you?
When you use our contact form on our website as part of getting in touch withus, we collect the following Personal Information from you: your name,your email, and your message history.

SECTION 2 – how do we collect your personal information?
We collect your Personal Information when you provide it to us, such as whenyou contact us using our contact form.  We also collect your PersonalInformation through your use of our website, and as otherwise permitted by theNew ZealandPrivacy Act 1993 (Privacy Act). 

If you access this website outside of New Zealand, you agree that anyPersonalInformation you provide us is subject to this Privacy Policy and thePrivacyAct.

We also use social media services such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, andGoogle Plus. These services may be linked to our website through the use ofsocial media buttons. Your use of these third party services is entirelyoptional. We may collect and use any information that you make public when youuse any such third party social media service for the purposes of our business.All such third party services are governed by the privacy policies and/orpractices of those services providers, for which we are not responsible. If youdo not wish to provide your Personal Information to any of those third parties,or make information publicly available, you should not use their particularservice.

Please do not provide us with Personal Information about other individuals, unlessyou have obtained the consent of the individual to do so. By providingPersonalInformation relating to a third party, you warrant that you areauthorised todo so and that you have ensured the individual is aware of theinformation in this Privacy Policy.

SECTION 3 – how do we obtain your consent?
When you provide us with Personal Information in the course of using ourwebsite, such as contacting us, you are consenting to our collecting it andusing it for that reason. If we ask for your PersonalInformation for asecondary reason, such as to send you marketing communications, we will eitherask you directly for your express consent, or, if obtaining your expressconsent is not required by any relevant law, provide you with an opportunity tosay no. If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw yourconsent for us to contact you by contacting us at hello@ethiquefoundation.orgor atLevel 3, 47 Salisbury Street, Christchurch, 8013, New Zealand.  Youmay also opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe functionalitywithin those emails.

SECTION 4 – how do we use your personal information?
We collect, use and disclose your PersonalInformation only where we have alegal basis to do so. We will collect, use and disclose your Personal Informationwhere it is. If you have provided your consent in accordance with the relevantlaw or if consent is not required by any relevant law, we will collect, use anddisclose your Personal Information for the purposes of sending you marketingmaterial (such as newsletters). We will collect, use and disclose your PersonalInformation where it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interestsin. Other sections of this PrivacyPolicy also set out other specific situationsin which your information is collected, used and disclosed. We will collect,use and disclose your PersonalInformation where it is necessary for us tocomply with our legal obligations or if you violate our Terms of Service. Wemay collect, use and disclose your Personal Information for any of the abovepurposes, in any circumstances authorised by the Privacy Act, or in any othermanner with your consent.

SECTION 5 – security and cookies
To protect your Personal Information, we take reasonable precautions and followindustry best practices to make sure it is not in appropriately lost, misused,accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. By browsing using our website, youagree to the placement of cookies on your device. A cookie is a small data filestored on a device with a web browser(such as a computer or iPad).  It cancontain information about your device, your IP address, your session, and theonline activity on the website of anyone using your device. Most browsers allowyou to disable or reject the use of cookies. If you disable or reject the useof cookies, some functions of this website may not be available or may takelonger to process.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so pleasereview it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediatelyupon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy,we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of whatinformation we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, weuse and/or disclose it. If our foundation is acquired or merged with anothercompany, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we maycontinue to sell products to you.

SECTION 7 – access to your personal information
You have the ability to seek access to your PersonalInformation and to ask forit to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you would like to access,correct, amend or delete any PersonalInformation we have about you, register acomplaint, or simply want more information contact our Privacy ComplianceOfficer at hello@ethiquefoundation.orgor at Level 3, 47 Salisbury Street,Christchurch, 8013, New Zealand. If you contact us to access or change yourPersonal Information, we may ask you to verify your identity and specify whatPersonal Information you require access to. Where a dispute arises between youand us, you are able to contact the NewZealand Office of the PrivacyCommissioner at http://www.privacy.co.nz. For EU residents where GDPR applies,you have the right to restrict processing, to object to processing, and of dataportability as set out in the GDPR. You may also lodge a complaint with therelevant GDPR supervisory authority.
